Major Samantha Carter, portrayed by AMANDA TAPPING, is the bridge between the military mind of Colonel O'Neill and the altruistic dreamer, Dr. Jackson. Travelling off-world through the ancient 'Stargate' portal, she summarizes her career and life with "I've been infected by a Goa'uld; unofficially adopted a child; had the odd dalliance with a couple of aliens; admitted my feelings for Jack O'Neill; got married; died - and I got to be superwoman!"
In addition to her starring role in Stargate SG-1™, Amanda is internationally known for appearances in the television series The X-Files, The Outer Limits, Due South and Forever Night.
Amanda's participation in the Stargate Autographs project is prompted by her desire to support her chosen charities: Waterkeeper Alliance, The Coast Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society, UNICEF, The Greater Vancouver Food Bank, The Steven Leask Foundation, SPCA, PETA and various smaller local charities.
As well as the charity aspect of this
program, Amanda also wishes to protect fans
from falling into the trap of purchasing one
of the many ‘bogus’ autographs that are in
circulation on the Internet. By making her
autograph available on this site, she is ensuring
that fans get ‘the real thing’
