How does Legends obtain movie props and wardrobe?
Legends deals directly with the movie studios and production companies. Our staff are sent to movie sets to inventory the various props and prepare them for shipping to our warehouses. Once shipped, the props are catalogued, photographed and ready for sale.
Why does Legends sometimes offer more than one of the same item for sale?
All of Legends Memorabilia's authentic memorabilia consists of original props, wardrobes and set pieces created exclusively for entertainment purposes. Due to production requirements, there may be multiple versions produced of any given item in a movie, television show or other media.
How does Legends know that a certain actor wore a certain article of clothing?
During a production, the production company and movie studios may tag the wardrobe item with the names of the characters that wore them. These tags are usually safety-pinned or sewn inside the wardrobe item. If the item is not tagged, the studios will often simply separate and organize the actors' wardrobe into individually marked boxes. Legends will then confirm this data by watching each film or television episode numerous times, matching the article of clothing with the scene in which it was featured.
What does the word 'HERO' mean?
Hero is an industry term used to describe an item that was used or worn by a main or significant character or to describe a highly featured and important item within the film, episode, and/or series.
Do you have any prominent items, like a ZAT or TER
gun?
Due to the unique relationship between Legends and MGM Studios,
we are able to offer the fans some of the highly collectible Stargate
SG-1™ memorabilia now, even though the show remains in production.
Normally, a studio will not release the inventory until a film
or series has completely finished. This means that items that are very limited in number, regularly used, or very significant
to the story (such as ZAT's, TER's, Ribbon Devices, Dr. Jackson's
glasses, etc.), are not usually released until they are no longer
required, or the show has completely wrapped up production.
