This is the second of two V.I.P. tickets to Gatecon 2008 that have been donated in memory of a great Stargate fan, Ruthie Alexander who sadly died recently.
Ruthie, along with Ruth, Jo and Maz were known to many convention-goers as the "Kawoosh Girls" and were usually found hard at work on the fund-raising desks dreaming up fantastic fun ways to raise money for Charity. They were the team running the Avalon auctions last year and are the backbone of the GABIT fund-raising team.
We've all felt the loss of Ruthie very strongly, and will miss her dearly, but we all know she wouldn't want her GATECON VIP ticket to go to waste. Her close friend Jo has therefore kindly offered Ruthie's ticket for sale with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Sea Shepherd.
Understandably, Jo is still having a difficult time with Ruthie's passing and has decided that the Vancouver Gatecon event will just be too emotional for her. So Jo is also donating her V.I.P. ticket to Sea Shepherd and it is offered for sale here in this listing.
(We are listing the tickets separately in case there are any individuals that want just one ticket. Of course if you want to come to the event with a friend, then by all means, bid on both tickets.)
